Central Luzon (Regional III) is composed of Bataan, Bulacan , Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Aurora and Zambales, It has a total land area of 2,147036 hectares broken down into: Bataan – 262,500 hectares; Pampanga – 218,068 hectares; Nueva Ecija – 528,433 hectares; Tarlac – 305,345 hectares; Zambales – 371,440 hectares and Aurora – 323,954 hectares. Region 3 has 12 cities, 118 muicipalities , 21 congressional districts and 3,102 barangays.
Its territorial jurisdiction lies between geographic coordinates 119 50’00” to 121 20’00” east longitude and 14 23’00” to 16 10’00” north latitude. It is bounded in the north by the provinces of Pangasinan and Nueva Viscaya; in the east by the province of Quezon; in the south by the Manila Bay, Metro Manila and the province of Rizal; and in the west by the South China Sea
